From Farm to Counter

We don't just roast the coffee. We import the green.

Artisanal Blends by E2 is a specialty coffee importer and roaster. We bring green coffee in from origin ourselves and roast it small-batch in Maryland and New York.

Because we import our own green, we can trace every origin, supply it unroasted by the tier to cafes and roasters who roast their own, and roast it to order for everyone else. Every coffee is available green, whole bean, or ground.

Before the coffee, there was the story

Artisanal Blends by E2 was born from an unlikely place. During a period of incarceration, coffee became more than a morning drink for founder Emmanuel Etoo. It was a moment of conversation, reflection, and temporary escape.

Years later, after rebuilding his life through business and entrepreneurship, Emmanuel returned to that connection with coffee and created Artisanal Blends by E2.

Our Story

From Solace to a fresh start.

Emmanuel Etoo smiling behind a wrapped pallet of Solace coffee cases, with a bag, a box and packaging from the first shipment
Emmanuel with the first shipment

Meet Emmanuel

I'm Emmanuel Etoo, the founder of Artisanal Blends by E2. I started this as a specialty coffee importer and roaster with a simple goal: bring in green coffee I believe in, roast it with care in Maryland and New York, and get it into the hands of the cafes, restaurants, and homes around me.

The photo here is me with my very first load. I am hands-on with every part of it, from sourcing the green to roasting to the drop-off. When you order from Artisanal Blends by E2, you are working directly with me.

Whether you run a busy cafe, a restaurant bar, or just want better coffee at home, I would love to put a bag in your hands.

Emmanuel Etoo Founder
  1. Cameroon

Born in Cameroon, raised around community, family, and the traditions of the land.

  2. Maryland

Immigrated to the United States with his family at a young age and settled in Prince George's County.

  3. Football

Played at Eleanor Roosevelt High School and earned a scholarship to play college football at Bowie State University.

  4. The fall

A mistake made with the wrong crowd led to a felony conviction and a prison sentence. The football dream ended there.

  5. Coffee

Every morning, men gathered with their mugs and their stories. In that small ritual, Emmanuel found solace, and a spark.

  6. Rebuilding

After his release he went back to family and to business, helping grow his family's healthcare company and founding a trucking company.

  7. Artisanal Blends

He came back to coffee to build something of his own: a company that joins quality, resilience, and second chances.

Why Solace

The blend that carries the beginning of our story.

Long before Artisanal Blends existed, coffee represented a small moment of peace during one of the hardest chapters of our founder's life. Solace carries that memory forward: rich, comforting coffee created around the idea that even difficult chapters can lead somewhere new.

The Story Behind the Logo

Three versions. One journey.

The original Artisanal Blends artwork shows three versions of founder Emmanuel Etoo sharing coffee at the same table in a park.

One represents the man shaped by mistakes, risk, and adversity. One, standing in the middle, is the businessman built through discipline, experience, and ambition. The third is Emmanuel himself, grounded and reflective, listening to both. Artisanal Blends by E2 was created from all three.

“Each version plays a role, and together, they fuel the passion behind this brand.”Emmanuel Etoo

Our Mission

Every Sip Supports a Fresh Start.

Artisanal Blends by E2 was built around the belief that a past does not have to determine a future. As the company grows, our goal is to use the brand and its success to support second-chance initiatives, re-entry efforts, and programs that create opportunities for people rebuilding their lives.
